Are you a motivated individual with a strong background in Sales? We have a job for you! Timpte is looking for a Director of Sales for the Iowa Region. This person will be located in Cedar Rapids, IA. The Director of Sales is responsible for growing revenue and supporting profitable growth strategies by optimizing sales distribution of Timpte’s trailers in the Iowa Region. This person will lead the Iowa Sales team by setting goals to increase sales and revenue.

Pay for this position is
$140-160k/year + ANNUAL BONUS of $25-30k, total comp of $170-190/year

Primary Responsibilities for this position include:
    • Leadership and Management responsibility of the Iowa Sales Team.
    • Achieve market share objectives by developing and implementing territory and account coverage plans.
    • Achieve targeted New trailer sales margins through an intimate knowledge of competitive and market activity and application of appropriate Used trade-in appraisal valuations (when necessary).
    • Manage assigned team’s variable expenses as a percentage of sales to established targets. Also manage all sales and capital expenses within approved budgets.

Desired Skills and Experiences
  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in sales and related positions of progressively increasing responsibility, including management of sales team with minimum of $25-35M in revenue.
  • Prefer sales experience in related fields including semi-trailer, dry bulk commodity and AG industry
  • Must possess strong leadership skills by having a comprehensive understanding of how all relevant aspects of the business should be conducted and ensuring that these “best practices” are followed consistently.
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written and presentation skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs; including Word, Excel, etc.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record for extensive travel.
