Blakeford is a senior living community in the Green Hills neighborhood of Nashville. Over the past 27 years, Blakeford has established itself as the premier provider of solutions for seniors in Nashville and the Middle Tennessee region. We provide exemplary service across the continuum of care and we are in search of exceptional people to help us maintain our standard of care and compassion.

The Sales and Marketing Counselor, in conjunction with the Director of Sales and Marketing assists in the planning and coordination of the marketing objectives to increase and maintain optimal occupancy in Independent and Assisted Living.

The Sales and Marketing Counselor will develop and schedule guides/tours focusing on Assisted Living and Independent Living, explaining the services offered at Blakeford to potential residents and fees involved. The Sales and Marketing Counselor will serve as a “point of contact” to potential residents, oversees and manages selections and renovations for Assisted Living, Independent Living and Memory Care Suites.

The Sales and Marketing Counselor will interact with co-workers, physicians, residents and all other customers in a manner in which encourages harmonious working relationships and enhances the image and reputation of the facility while promoting positive customer relations.

The position will support the facility’s mission statement by dependability, maintaining confidentiality and the timely completion of assignments and attention to principles of professional ethics and quality service. The Sales and Marketing Counselor should have a commitment to professional and personal growth through development of skills and knowledge, as well as improvement in the facility’s performance.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: The ideal candidate should have an Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills Required to Successfully Accomplish the Essential Functions of the Position:

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze and interpret common professional journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, and interest.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

COMPUTER OPERATIONS: Proficient personal computer skills including e-mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spread sheet, and graphics.
