Essential Functions:
· Recruiting, hiring, managing, and retaining sales team. This especially in the beginning will be most of what you do
· Scoping project estimates with the sales team for homeowners and potential customers
· Ordering project materials and scheduling projects with customers and subcontractors
· Managing on-site roofing projects, ensuring all requirements are delivered and policies followed
· Overseeing subcontractors on-site, ensuring project is fully completed with labor safety and customer satisfaction maintained throughout the project
· Establishing and growing supplier and subcontractor relationships
· Ensuring budget and timeframe expectations are met
· Track and submit payroll and commission reports for owner review
· Business development and networking through local associations, trade shows, conferences
Requirements:
· Proven leadership skills with previous people management experience, ideally we want roofing sales experience but a minimum of home service sales experience
· 2+ years of sales experience, preferably home services and/or B2C
· Passion for community engagement and customer service
· Roofing, construction, or insurance experience is helpful
Work Environment:
Mighty Dog Roofing’s Sales Director: will be responsible for a variety of both on-site projects and office-related tasks. This role will report directly to the Franchise Owner(s) based in Columbia, SC.
Position Type/Expected hours worked:
This is a full-time position; some on-site projects are likely to require early mornings and late afternoons beyond a typical ‘9 to 5’ job. Regular, punctual, and consistent attendance is required.

Duties:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives
- Lead and manage a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure their success
- Identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with potential clients
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of the competition
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and product development, to align sales strategies with overall company objectives
- Conduct regular sales meetings and provide reports on sales performance to senior management
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sales Director or in a similar sales leadership role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with key clients
- In-depth knowledge of sales principles and techniques
- Ability to analyze market trends and develop effective sales strategies
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on building long-term relationships with clients
