A Level II Sales Associate is responsible for providing the best buying experience to all guests, generating sales,
housekeeping, merchandising, signage, pricing, cash register operations (POS) and loss prevention in accordance with all company policies/procedures and store standards.
High school diploma or GED required with prior retail experience.
Ability to work scheduled shifts (holidays & weekends).
Ability to stand for long periods of time servicing guests.
Ability to read, speak and communicate the English language.
Ability to count and write to accurately complete all documentation.
Ability to operate & use all equipment necessary to run the store.
Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing between 0-50 pounds.
Ability to climb a ladder.
Tasks are performed inside the store and outside in all areas of the facility. Including exposure to cold while working in the cooler and on the exterior of the building maintaining the parking lot and all surrounding areas with in the parking lot.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide fast, friendly service, greet and acknowledge each guest. Maintain outstanding company standards
in all areas including housekeeping, product knowledge and other components of guest service.
Take lead role when Store Manager is not on duty, up to and including all guest inquiries.
Must comply with state regulations, company policy and procedures when selling age restricted products.
Must comply with local health regulations and company policies pertaining to food handling.
Must know how to utilize PDI Scanning Manual, Credit Card Manual, Operations Manual, Maintenance Manual
and place work orders on Web Help Desk.
Clean, maintain equipment and ensure all products are available at all times. Prepare and fill drink dispensers as
necessary.
Check refrigeration equipment for proper performance (minimum once per shift) and advise management of any
problems.
Understand credit card and debit card handling, limits and fraud potential.
Understand all cash handling procedures, including register breakdown, drawer dollar limit and safe accountability.
Follow weekly schedule as posted, all changes must be approved by management. All employees must
properly use Time Clock (clock in & out).
Operate shift in accordance with company policies/procedures by performing all assigned tasks documented,
including accurately counting and balancing cigarettes, lottery and miscellaneous inventories.
Accurately record markups and markdowns, store use of merchandise, voids, no sales, bottle refunds, bad
merchandise write offs, unknown UPCs, price overrides, within established policies and procedures.
Advise store management immediately of any out of stocks, special needs and guest requests.
Follow vendor check in procedures as defined in the operations manual.
Assist Store Manager with all ordering, inventory, audits including Grocery, Deli and HDD.
Must know how to read expiration dates and codes on all products, including cigarettes, smokeless products and
assist with Reclamation process.
Assist with all price changes including promotions signage and Day One Checklist.
Stick fuel tanks with water paste and match to ATG report.
Receive and perform Fuel Price changes.
Adhere to company policy regarding containment of fuel spills and notify Store Manager immediately.
