Dear Yesteryear (family of stores) is a locally owned group of retail shops specializing in home decor, furniture, gift items, boutique clothing, baby clothing and toys, antiques, vintage finds and more. Our stores include Dear Yesteryear, Elladees Boutique, Wonder & Rhyme, Storehouse on Market and Tallulah Jane's Boutique (all located in Taylorville, IL). We are looking for 2 more full-time employees to add to our team (would possibly consider part time as well including Saturdays). The ideal candidate is organized, able to work accurately at a swift pace as well as possess above average attention to detail. Additional traits of an ideal candidate include customer service focused, confident, honest, and enjoys working in a team atmosphere as well as independently when needed. The ideal candidate should also excel at various forms of communication (in person, over the phone, via social media platforms). Retail experience is a plus.

An average day may include:
- receiving deliveries via pallets as well as offloading boxes by hand
- unboxing deliveries, inspecting inventory for defects and/or invoices for shortages/overages
- Entering inventory details into a point of sale system / webstore platform accurately
- monitor and/or delegate product tagging based on company guidelines
- communicate with vendor reps to report defects, overages and shortages.
- assisting in-store customers with questions and purchases, cash register
- product set up within the store
- loading / unloading furniture
- cleaning routine
- other tasks as assigned

Requirements: at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma. Computer skills also required. Must be able to team lift/move furniture. Must be willing to clean (dust, vacuum, restroom, warehouse, paint shop, etc) when needed or requested.

Must be available to work any 5 day combination between Monday - Saturday 8:45-6:15pm. Required to work 3 Saturdays per month.

Starting Pay is between $14 - $15.50/hr.
