The purpose of this position is to be a resource to support sales and account management for the customers in commercial ASO and fully-insured lines of business. The position will specifically support sales, account management and proposals associates, and collaborate with pharmacy strategy, pharmacy clinical, pharmacy operations, the pharmacy benefit manager to support areas related to brokers/consultants, employer group inquiries, new business RFPs, customer renewals and pharmacy benefit implementations, products/services.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:- Provide support to sales & account management teams to respond to pharmacy-related client inquiries and take accountability to resolve issues.
- Collaborate with Pharmacy clinical and operations to support sales & account management to solve pharmacy-related issues complex issues
- Act as the pharmacy department’s representative to present and support the pharmacy benefit programs, strategies and product offerings.
- Support the proposals team in collaboration with the pharmacy benefit manager to respond to RFPs/RFIs and coordinate the reporting requirements need to support new client sales and renewals.
Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills, verbal and communication, ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally, ability to complete an assessment and provide recommendations
Knowledge:
- Pharmacy benefit designs, Formulary designs and functions, pharmacy benefit coverages and exclusions, pharmacy programs in health plans and pharmacy benefit managers.
Experience:
- Required: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managed care pharmacy, either at a health plan’s pharmacy department or a pharmacy benefit manager
- Preference: experience with self-funded employer groups, pharmacy benefit builds and maintenance, formulary build and maintenance, pharmacy claims issue management.
Education and Certifications:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree
- Not Required: Certified Pharmacy Technician (any state)
