Sales Associate

Please note

All employees are required to be full vaccinated for Covid-19

· This is an in-person position – remote work is not available

Duties

· Greet visitors and assist with merchandising.

· Monitor merchandise – sell, restock, and organize gift shop area as needed.

o Track inventory for when new merchandise needs to be transferred

· Assist with ticketing to the Audrain Automobile Museum

o Answer questions about gallery hours and exhibitions

o Be familiar with all museum on-goings regarding membership, education initiatives, events, and the exhibitions.

Qualifications

· Enthusiasm to learn about the automobile collections, exhibition automobiles, and the exhibition storyline content.

· Retail experience with POS systems (preferred).

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Customer service experience.

· Ability to lift 50 pounds.

· Experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Requirements

· Schedule includes weekends and evenings as needed.

· Ability for overtime.

Education

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Interest and enthusiasm to continue to learn about the Audrain Collections, exhibition automobiles, and all content in each exhibition.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Shift:

• 8 hour shift

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Rotating weekends
• Weekend availability

Must be vaccinated and boosted

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Newport, RI: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
