D.M. Bowman, Inc., is seeking a dynamic candidate with Sales Experience to join our team as a Business Development Professional! Our company is a regional Transportation and Logistics Company founded in 1959, and to this day remains financially sound and continues to focus our efforts on developing long-term mutually beneficial relationships based upon comprehensive logistics solutions.

Our Business Development Professional is working to create new streams of revenue, and working with existing clients to meet their needs. You will be responsible for converting pre-qualified leads and generating new business with our existing clients. This position will help to develop brand awareness by interacting with new and existing customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Generate new business from existing customers.
• Effectively communicate with customers to identify their problems, concerns and potential solutions.
• Source new sales opportunities through following leads.
• Close calls and achieve quotas.
• Meet and exceed budgets and minimum KPI requirements, such as new customer accounts, revenue growth, shipment volume, and account penetration.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Travel may be required to cover some accounts.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• AS400 Experience is highly desirable.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Customer Relationship Tools.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Education and Experience

• Required: High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred: College Degree with a concentration in transportation and/or marketing.
• Required: One to two years of sales/brokerage experience in the Transportation/Logistics industry.
