Summary

The PWI Regional Sales Manager (RM) position for our organization is one of (3) Regional Manager Positions in the Company. Each RM is responsible for overseeing the Sales, Marketing, and Business Support Systems to a Regional Group of Independent Customers. Each PWI Regional Sales Manager has responsibility for managing a group of Territory Sales Managers who are assigned to a specific group of Independent Store Customers for Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Build and maintain a meaningful working relationship with each TSM and Customer Group in their assigned territory.
  • Assist each Customer with managing all aspects of their business, including Budgeting, Inventory Management, and Sales & Marketing activities.
  • Work with TSM’s to develop annual Sales, Marketing and Store Improvement goals by customer, by territory and by region. Review and Measure results of these goals with TSM’s on a quarterly basis and report results to Management.
  • Work with TSM’s and Market Development Manager to identify new business opportunities and develop a strategy build and maintain a relationship with potential prospects.
  • Plan and facilitate all aspects of new store installations and competitive changeovers. This includes working with other department leaders within RPI, and externally with PWI Vendor Partners to plan each project and see it through to completion.
  • Learn, understand, and be proficient at selling and training TSM’s and Customers on the Counterworks Computer System.
  • Learn and understand the Vision / JMO Enterprise System used by PWI to transact with Independent Customers.
  • Advise customers on such issues as Computer Systems, Store Renovations, available Store Locations, Competitors and overall Industry trends.
  • Assist TSM’s with facilitating Special Projects such as Store Moves and Product Changeovers.
  • Build and maintain a meaningful working relationship with PWI Vendors and their local representation.
  • Extensive Travel within Region is required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Manages PWI Territory Sales Managers within assigned Region.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from four year college or technical school; or 5 Years or longer related experience in the Automotive Aftermarket Business. Secondary Degree from University of The Aftermarket a plus.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer knowledge and familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite of products, Counterworks, and Vision Software Systems.

Valid driver's license and good driving record; ASE certifications a plus
