SUMMARY OF POSITION
CHCU has an immediate opening for a Director, Partner Development, where the qualified candidate will provide guidance and coach cross-functional team members on how to effectively engage with US Key Opinion leaders (KOLs), set up medical advisory boards, build internal processes for global KOL engagements and develop national product management processes and inputs to Japan-based HQ business units and management. The position engages and influences internal stakeholders in HQ and US national entities on both the product development and KOL engagement process. This role is also accountable for leading governance cadence for US upstream KOL engagements performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading Upstream KOL Capability
o Accountable for the success of US upstream KOL engagements, starting from CT and expanding to all modalities over time
o Lead the cross-functional task force in CHCU to develop long-term upstream relationships with US KOLs
o Lead and develop product management role, support team and engagement process with HQ business unit(s) and management
o Provide guidance and coaching on how to effectively engage with US KOLs, setting up MAB and building internal processes
o Engage with HQ CT business unit, US sales entity and US research entity on US upstream KOL engagements, representing a voice in product development with a view to expanding this model globally
o Engage with HQ Solution Planning in building internal KOL engagement and product management process based on knowledge of industry best practices
- Providing Visibility and Performance Management to CEO
o Designs and leads KOL engagement governance cadence for US upstream KOL engagements performance
o Accountable for KPI evaluation of CHCU members in Partner Development team on the performance of US KOL engagement
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- B.S. (M.S. or Ph.D. or MBA preferred) in marketing, health sciences or related field, plus 10 years of relevant healthcare industry experience.
Required Capabilities
- Strong expertise in developing long-term relationships with US KOLs in the healthcare industry
- Deep understanding of the product management process
- Deep understanding of KOL engagement process
- Organizational leadership and stakeholder-engagement skills to lead
- Global cross-functional teams and manage internal stakeholder management
- Demonstrated leadership in driving healthy organizational culture
- Experience in establishing new teams and organizational processes
- Well-developed people management skills
- Ability to negotiate internally and at executive levels
Work Location
- Position based in Mayfield Village/Cleveland Ohio.
Travel
- Ability to complete domestic and international is required.
