The Opportunity:
The Associate Client Executive will begin their sales training and development with Hylant’s Small Business team focusing on Employee Benefits. This position will also participate in our sales training programs offering a robust curriculum of core sales skills and insurance knowledge designed to prepare you for success in an Employee Benefits sales role.

The Associate Client Executive must have excellent communication skills, a team focus, and the ability to successfully adapt to an ever-changing environment. Learning how to cross-sell, identify new business opportunities, develop a business plan, and meet sales production goals are all essential to success in this role.
In This Role You Will:
- Work side-by-side with seasoned sales and service leaders, becoming technically competent in employee benefits lines of coverage.
- Develop a strong understanding and complete adoption of Hylant’s servicing and sales tools & processes.
- Develop the ability to present professionally in all elements of client facing (internal and external) including technical writing and verbal presentations.
- Learn how to identify cross-sell, account rounding and potential new business opportunities both within and between Small Business and Employee Benefits
- Develop the ability to build and maintain a network of centers of influence (COIs). Timing and targets to be established within first 180 days of employment
- Establish sales production goals to produce $125,000 of new business within 18-24 months.
- Assist in coverage analysis and policy reviews; developing competence to provide options based on determination of client needs.
- Identify and participate in social, networking, or charitable events, or other organizations that will advance the Hylant brand, and/or create additional contacts for you among COIs or key buying influencers
- Learn how to develop and implement a business plan including vertical identification
- Engage in an ongoing pursuit of Employee Benefits insurance knowledge
In This Role You'll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Basic Employee Benefits insurance brokerage education/training.
- Major in Risk Management or Insurance not required, but highly preferred.
- Active Life & Health License, or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Basic analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Exception oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
