The Business Development Assistant works as a resource in creating and tracking new client proposals, client engagement letters, and entering new clients into systems and software. The person in this role will be responsible for creating, writing, and editing proposals, engagement contracts, reports and related materials; working with members of the Business Development Team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Creating, writing and maintaining proposals, engagement letters and templates
- Capturing and entering new client information into various software and systems
- Cataloging and filing all materials in a logical and easily accessible manner and ensuring they are continuously up to date
- Assisting with process and discussion of revisiting scope of services
- Supporting Business Development team
- Performing other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least one year experience in industry business development and/or research and development arena preferred
- Advanced designing/editing with Microsoft Suite required
- Proficient with Adobe PDF preferred
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to learn and adapt to multiple systems
- Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects with changing priorities to meet tight deadlines and maintain a flexible schedule in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
