Hosokawa provides size reduction systems and powder processing solutions for chemical, pharmaceutical, food, mineral, plastics, and cosmetic applications. Throughout our history, we have led the industry in coarse to ultra-fine grinding, classification, mixing, drying, containment, compaction, and analytical equipment.
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and closing direct sales business for HMPS Products within the assigned Territory.
- Develop, Manage and Maintain relationships with customers in assigned multi-state territory across all product lines.
- Present Company products, technologies, and services to prospects in Chemical, Mineral, Food, Pharmaceutical, and Polymer markets.
- Initiating contact with prospects and qualify leads to define projects, working with or Application Engineers to develop and present proposals, and managing technical and commercial negotiations through order placement and commissioning of equipment.
- Work with National Sales Manager and Application Managers to develop sales strategies.
- Collaborate with Application Managers to ensure proposals are submitted on a timely basis and act as a liaison between customer and internal teams through order placement to equipment start-up and commissioning.
- Maintain communication with Key Customers in assigned territory to build and enhance long term relationships.
- Domestic and International travel is required to perform the above sales functions, including trade shows and conferences.
- Provide regular reports to the National Sales Manager as required to detail and enhance sales efforts in assigned territory.
- Assist as necessary to create content and materials for HMPS products and services to enhance sales in assigned territory.
- Meet/exceed annual sales forecasts as set by Management to include regularly updating activities to CRM system to aid in lead management, accurate forecast of sales and prioritizing future opportunities.
- 3+ years of sales experience with a track record of growth
- 3+ years of experience with Engineered Products and Process Equipment
- Must be able to travel Domestically and Internationally
- Established track record of meeting/exceeding Sales performance requirements.
- Strong work ethic with ability to function both independently, and as part of a diverse multi-discipline team.
- Highly motivated, organized and goal oriented.
- Ability to multitask in a highly competitive environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, problem solving, negotiating, and presentation skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM programs.
- Bachelor’s degree required, prefer Mechanical or Chemical Engineering OR equivalent experience with Industrial Process Equipment
