Continuing to expand its Sales Team, Wonderful Pistachios & Almonds is currently seeking a National Account Manager (NAM). The NAM will be responsible for developing the Relationship Strategy with the key Costco Regional Decision makers, with the objective of ensuring continuity of support and sustainability of the business. This role reports directly to the National Account Director for Costco HQ for Wonderful Pistachios and Almonds (WP&A).

The National Account Manager will be responsible for the management of all sales related activities for Wonderful Pistachios from the planning stage to strategy implementation at the assigned customer account (Costco) and may have responsibility for other TWC brands as deemed necessary. Additional responsibilities include recommending and managing items/promotions/merchandising activities and managing the volume forecasting and business reporting.


Job Description
  • Take initiative in understanding overall category and competitive trends.
  • Develop clear and measurable volume, promotion and distribution plans to achieve overall Wonderful Pistachio & Almond objectives for Costco North America.
  • Develop and maintain a Customer Relationship Strategy at all appropriate levels, working strategically to identify growth opportunities and areas of continuous improvement. Ensure any issues can be quickly addressed with appropriate Customer interface. Identify and resolve all customer concerns.
  • Ensure distribution, pricing, promotional and shelving/merchandising objectives are achieved consistently with brand strategy, account objectives and efficient trade spending at direct assigned customers.
  • Be an expert in understanding the needs and goals of the assigned customers including overall corporate strategy, item value, operations, and business systems.
  • Leverage analytical resources to optimize distribution, manage optimal SKU/pricing strategies, and trade spend.
  • Responsible for P&L management: including trade and marketing budgets.
  • Drive quality business communication and ongoing cross-functional interaction with Sales Team, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Brand Marketing.
  • Forecast and manage volume goals by monitoring weekly and monthly sales performance and coordinating with sales operation team. Develop and propose adjustments as needed to meet budget or take advantage of opportunities.
  • Ability to effectively manage people both directly and indirectly.
  • Be highly proficient at developing and delivering sales presentations to secure the objectives within the business plan.
  • Must be available for up to 35 - 50% travel at times.

Qualifications
  • 6-10 years of relevant work experience, preferably in CPG (consumer packaged goods), for Club Channel.
  • Demonstrated established relationships at assigned Accounts
  • Solid understanding of the following areas: sales and distribution functions, business development and point-of-sale marketing.
  • Knowledge of both Packaged Grocery and Produce areas a plus.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute with excellence while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven success in conflict resolution, negotiation, and closing of retail sales
  • Ability to adapt to evolving role and responsibilities; open to new learning opportunities
  • Proven capability to share responsibility when their team experiences difficulties and find strategic solutions
  • Proven verbal and written presentation skills with the ability to use data to support recommendations
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

Pay Range: $120,000 - $140,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
