Strategic Account Executive

Fast Lane Consulting and Education Services, Inc. is a leading Global IT Training Company with its North America headquarters located in Morrisville, North Carolina. Fast Lane offers a broad array of hands-on vendor-authorized IT training classes including Cisco Systems, NetApp, VMware, Microsoft, and others. Job Description Fast Lane is continuously looking for qualified Strategic Account Executive's to manage named Accounts of over 10,000 employees. Primary responsibility is to drive IT training market share for Fast Lane across all product lines within a list of assigned Named accounts and Channel partners while also following up on leads generated from an assigned territory and existing customer contacts. Compensation includes a competitive base salary and achievement-based commission income. Our growth Territories will have some existing repeat business, but the role will heavily be focused on capturing net new business.

Specific responsibilities are to:

  • Hunter/Prospector activities including networking, emailing, phone calls.
  • Achieve revenue objectives
  • Identify customer needs and interests and effectively communicate benefits and opportunities of partnering with Fast Lane
  • Collaborate with an Account Manager paired on the Account to implement strategic plan on each primary account.
  • Coordinate product presentations, demonstrations, and proposals to a set of named accounts
  • Respond to RFQs
  • Communicate with internal Fast Lane departments including operations, product management and marketing to coordinate successful product deliveries
  • Establish relationships with vendor partners and associated channel to help identify and support key customers
  • Effectively utilize Fast Lane’s CRM to track pipeline and develop rich customer database
  • In conjunction with Marketing team, develop effective marketing plan for the territory


The ideal candidate will have the following characteristics:

  • 3+ year successful record of accomplishment as sales executive in a hunter role.
  • 3+ years selling Professional or IT Solutions and Services.
  • Technical knowledge of IT products including Cisco, NetApp, and VMware
  • Organized with a keen focus on achieving revenue objectives and activity it will require to grow business.
  • Ability to develop, articulate and present a business case.
  • Be an independent, self-motivated worker requiring little supervision
  • Excellent communications and writing skills, attention to detail and a positive attitude
  • Ability to handle multiple clients simultaneously in a fast-paced environment


Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related discipline or equivalent experience
