Full description of the position

Job Duties:

·Manages specific projects/orders throughout the Engineering design stages while communicating with customers per application.

·Provides quote, estimating, costing, application evaluation, quote follow up and project management as required.

·Helps define solutions for custom application requests and costing quotes

·Communicates with end users from the start of the RFQ process through delivery of a formal proposal

·Provides knowledge and technical training to TSR's, customer service/inside sales reps, outside sales reps and others when necessary.

·Reviews product literature and recommends changes.

·Assists TSR to establish and revise standards methods of product costing.

·Travels to end user sites to provide on-site technical support to the TSR as required.

·May perform value engineering in concert with Engineering team

·Assists Engineering in creation of product manuals and other technical information.

·Demonstrates the Caldwell Company Values in all work activities

·Complies with all safety rules and requirements

Requirements:

·Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar field

·Three years mechanical design experience preferred

·Two years technical sales support in an industrial setting preferred

·Proficiency using electronic design software and file management tools

·Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office and use of technology

·Proven customer service orientation toward both internal customer and end users

·Ability to multi-task in a rapidly changing environment

·Strong written and verbal communication skills

·Strong presentation skills

·Ability to travel up to 25%

·Strong knowledge of crane and rigging industries and related engineering standards desired

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally the employee is required to exert up to 20 pounds of force.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $72,600.00 - $97,500.00 per year
