Sales Account Manager Chrysler – Auburn Hills, MI

Global Automotive Electronics/EV Systems supplier is expanding, looking for a Sr. Level Sales Account Manager with strong Automotive Electronics and strong Business Development with Chrysler, managing the acquisition phase, and maintain and supervise business under your responsibility.

  • For the assigned product or business field, you will assume ownership and lead the different teams within the organization to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction, growth, profitability, and a healthy customer-supplier relationship
  • Manage the quotation process, either for new business opportunities or for modification to existing contracts and projects, by obtaining competitive market information, utilizing procedures for establishing prices, documenting the basis for the pricing, and providing written quotations to the customer.
  • Main customer interface for assigned parts (purchasing and engineering).
  • Markets a pathway of products and product strategies to key levels of customer Engineering and Purchasing management.
  • Functions as Customer Representative, ensuring that customer requirements are addressed (e.g. selection of special characteristics, setting quality objectives and related timing, corrective and preventive actions, product design and development).
  • Ensure proper maintenance of business cases associated to parts in production and under acquisition with the objective to keep projects’ profitability in line with targets
  • Able to prepare sounded cost breakdowns for customers and submit them in the customer system.
  • Insures the accuracy of all purchase orders and contracts, and insures the most recent information is communicated to all internal customers
  • Maintenance of customer systems and databases, such as capacity database, CN system, and others.
  • Follow and keep updated all internal processes, (regardless of the project development or manufacturing site), CRM, NBT, and several others.
  • Lead a transversal team or organization, for all TQRLC matters
  • Organize and carry out benchmark activities related to the family of products of your responsibility, including, whenever possible, competitors’ analysis.
  • Define, lead and present to management an appropriate action plan in the event of an unresolved commercial issue. For issues arising in other areas, e.g. engineering, the Account Manager will make sure that such action plan is satisfactorily created.
  • Full understanding of current capacity, for lines and tools, of assigned products
  • Manage Directed Tier I customers for assigned parts.
  • Maintain Price records (Master Price List & SAP)

Qualifications

  • Desirable BS in Engineering, or related relevant work experience
  • Desirable MBA, or related relevant work experience
  • High level of understanding of cost structures, cost calculations.
  • High level of experience in negotiations.
  • Good understanding of contract analysis and typical automotive industry Terms and Conditions
  • Good understanding of typical automotive logistics, including MRP, EDI, Customs, Routes, and others
  • Experience with engineering changes implementation.
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office, Enterprise Software
  • Basic understanding of tools and assembly operation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to source, attract, & maintain customers
  • Analytical skills with high degree of numeric analysis
