Title: Brokerage – Brokerage Customer Account Representative

Reports to: Brokerage Operations Manager

Based at: TLD Logistics Services, Inc. Knoxville – Cedar Bluff Brokerage Office

POSITION DESCRIPTION

An Account Representative will work with a portfolio of customers within TLD Logistics 3PL business. The Account Representative role will develop grow relationships within the organizational structure of each customer. Responsibilities will include expanding modes of service and uncovering additional business opportunities within the portfolio of managed accounts.

TLD Logistics is a wholly owned subsidiary of Toyota Tsusho Corporation with asset trucks and 14 locations in multiple states.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Daily interaction with customer stakeholders

· Ability to maintain and strengthen relationships

· Self-motivated with ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

· Attention to detail and ability to multitask

· Prioritize tasks throughout the day

· Rely on individual critical thinking skills to assist with day-to-day logistical events

· Ensure customer key performance metrics are achieved

· Ability to manage a book of customers to meet 3PL goals

· Ability to negotiate rates on a contractual and spot market basis

· Rely on sense of urgency around time sensitive shipments

· Resolve transportation issues that occur during transit of goods

· Work with capacity team to insure account coverage

· Assisting capacity (as needed) to secure capacity

· Ability to understand and use knowledge of markets to assist customers in understanding marketplace events and disruptions.

· Other responsibilities include scheduling appointments and assisting in tracking and tracing

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

· Associate’s Degree or above

· Experience in logistics/transportation (preferred)

· Competency in Microsoft Office applications

· Excellent geographical knowledge

· Professional organizational, verbal and written skills

· Ability to negotiate and multi-task and detail oriented
