Full description of the position

Job Title: Outside Sales Representative

Compensation: Base salary plus sales commission

Working Hours: Full time (40 hours per week), with on-call availability as needed.

Location: Our service territory which includes IA, IL, MN, MO, ND, NE, SD, TN, WI so travel will be required depending on where you live to directly sell to consumers in those markets. Overnight travel includes daily per diem with travel expenses paid by GigFire.

Position Summary: The Outside Sales Representative at GigFire is responsible for increasing company revenue and sales by identifying new business and residential sales opportunities by providing the best valued internet service in the area. You will connect with residents, communities, local businesses and local stakeholders through door-to-door solicitation. Qualifications:

● Conduct direct selling activities with attention to delivering a consistent, high quality customer experience.

● Previous experience in a sales/marketing capacity, demonstrating an ability to increase company sales and revenue.

● A track record of sales success in a door-to-door sales environment.

● Experience managing client relationships and partnerships.

● Strong communication and negotiation skills with solid business acumen.

● Experience leading and developing a team in a business development/sales role.

● Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

● Proficiency in all Microsoft Suite and Google Enterprise applications.

● Proactive, team-oriented, and self-motivated.

Key Responsibilities:

● Knock on doors and engage potential customers with your personality.

● Conduct direct selling activities with attention to delivering consistent, high quality customer experience with a successful close rate.

● Identify areas of density for door knocking opportunities throughout our footprint. We want you to own your territory.

● Educate potential customers about our products and services.

● Attend stakeholder meetings with local community leaders, local government and potential customers to create brand awareness and strengthen relationships within communities.

● Build a network of customers by generating leads and following up on sales.

● Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and sales teams within the telecommunications/fiber optics industry.

● Deeply understand company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities.

● Suggest improvements to marketing and sales operations as needed.

● Improve customer satisfaction by anticipating customer needs and reviewing customer activity.

● Research emerging trends within the industry and recommend new company offerings to meet client needs.

● Assume additional responsibilities as delegated by upper management.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40,000.00 base per year with commission. Successful candidates can potentially make $150,000 in commission.
