STRATEGIC ACCOUNT MANAGER
About the job
Strategic Account Manager will serve as a digital marketing liaison and oversee the retention and growth of current clients. Individuals will have the unique opportunity to work with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to Sales, Paid Acquisition, Retention and more. There must be a high level of comfort in client-facing communication and fielding questions. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about helping our clients address strategic business decisions through our diverse suite of services, identifying new opportunities, and be comfortable working autonomously.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for client satisfaction and client service on a daily basis – both proactively and reactively
- Be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of accounts, including escalations
- Up-to-date knowledge of client white space and power map across all functions
- Facilitate onboarding of new accounts and setting client expectations on service delivery
- Set and agree service, development and budget planning agendas
- Create account plans and strategies
- Manage contract renewals
- Identify opportunities for growth and cross-sell with existing portfolio
- Analyze Facebook/Instagram, Snapchat, Tiktok, Google Ads, Youtube, and Email/SMS marketing reports and deliver omnichannel insights
- Meet with Acquisition & Retention teams to articulate client background, agency needs, and recommended strategy during recurring weekly meetings
- Manage regular reporting (e.g. QBR, status reports, etc.) as applicable
- Actively manage and update all account information in our systems
- KPIs are account sales, profitability and growth goals; timely and compliant renewals; retention; and client satisfaction
- Write engaging proposals, deliver client presentations and take an active role in competitive tenders
- Partner with Marketing team on proactive up-sell opportunities
- Take a proactive approach in understanding new industry trends and best practices so as to be a strong client partner
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience managing client accounts
- This individual will be self-directed, ambitious, excellent communication (written and verbal), patient and have the ability to think critically
- A solid track record of account management in a renewal and up-sell heavy environment
- Good knowledge of client business models and communications agenda
- Have a target driven and KPI focused mindset
- Client-facing experience in a busy working environment
- Active listener with strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline driven atmosphere
- Strong team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills and extremely organized
- Agency experience is a plus
- Experience with eCommerce and digital marketing is a plus
- Experience with consultative selling is a plus
- Experience with data analysis to better inform client recommendations is a plus
- Experience with Slack, G-Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) is a plus

Compensation
- Job Type: Full-time Employee
- Annual Salary: $70,000 - $90,000/Year
