We’re hiring an Account Manager - Rotational Development Program.
Our Clean Mobility Division is looking for a Sales Support - Rotational Development Program Trainee for its research and development center in Farmington Hills, MI who will commit to long term growth and development with Forvia. *This position is ideal for recent college graduates with 1-2 years of professional experience. The Rotational Development Program focuses on two functions : Series Platform Management and Sales Engineering. The program’s content is built off of the academic knowledge received by the Trainee while completing their Master’s degree as well as the individual needs, capabilities and objectives of the Trainee. The program is a two year program consisting of two 12 month rotations that could be cross-divisional and in various locations throughout the United States and abroad. Upon completion of the program, the Trainee will take on a demanding and challenging role in their core field.

This job will require you to:
- Develop your leadership and decision-making skills through various project assignments and daily tasks.
- Gain international exposure and experience.
- Receive guidance from an experienced mentor in your core field.
- Build an extensive network within the organization.
- Attend training sessions and workshops.
- Obtain a full-time offer of employment at the completion of the program based on your performance.
The main objectives of the two rotations for the Account Manager Trainee are defined below.
ROTATION I – Series Platform Management
Purpose: Learn measures taken for Cost Management and Cost Saving initiatives in customer-facing site
- Work in the Customer Center in Michigan together with other customer-facing roles.
- Understand inflation and other impacts to costs.
- Learn internal Change Management processes and manage customer changes.
- Participate in customer VAVE and other internal Cost Saving activities.
- Quote and capitalize enhanced profitability on customer changes.
Rotation II – Sales Engineer
Purpose: Learn Program Management and execution of Cost Saving initiatives in Program Development site
- Work with the Program Development Center in Mexico together with cross-functional Program Teams.
- Participate in Costing and Quoting of internal and customer changes.
- Work with Engineering Change Coordinators to under costs associated with changes to original BOM.
- Support Account Managers in preparing customer RFQ responses to enhance profitability.
- Learn Sales Engineer responsibilities and interface with Country Accounting team in Mexico.
The ideal candidate.
To succeed in this position, you will ideally have:
- Pursuing a Master's Degree in Finance, Engineering, or related field.
- Practical work experience within internships throughout academic career and ideally with full-time work experience..
- Strong interest in the automotive industry.
- Commitment to completing a 2-year program.
- Bi-lingual preferred.
- Interest in an international assignment.
