Position Summary: As a Data Center Sales Representative, your primary responsibility will be to drive sales and promote the company's data center power solutions and services to potential clients. You will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and effectively communicating how our data center offerings can meet those needs. Your ultimate goal will be to achieve sales targets, increase revenue, and contribute to the overall growth and success of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Sales Generation: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales targets and increase market share. This includes generating leads, qualifying prospects, and closing deals related to data center solutions and services.
· Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, including key decision-makers and stakeholders. Understand their business requirements, challenges, and pain points to position our data center offerings effectively.
· Product Knowledge: Gain a deep understanding of the company's data center power solutions. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings to communicate the value proposition to customers effectively.
· Consultative Selling: Conduct needs assessments and consult with customers to understand their specific requirements. Provide tailored solutions and recommendations based on their needs, demonstrating expertise and industry knowledge.
· Proposal Development: Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and contracts to customers, ensuring accuracy and alignment with their requirements. Collaborate with internal teams, such as technical experts, to develop comprehensive and compelling proposals.
· Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Track and report on sales activities, pipeline development, and revenue forecasts. Provide regular updates to sales management, including progress, challenges, and potential opportunities.
· Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback. Provide insights and recommendations to improve product offerings, pricing strategies, and sales approaches.
· Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the sales process and post-sales support. Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and act as a trusted advisor to build long-term partnerships.
Other Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· Proven experience in sales, preferably in technical sales.
· Preference will be given to those with data center utilities, or industrial plant utility experience.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and internal stakeholders.
· Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, and ability to influence key decision-makers.
· Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a focus on delivering results.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
· Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
