MUFG Growth & Middle Market Technology Banking is seeking a strong candidate to fulfill the role of Relationship Manager, Managing Director opportunity to be based in the San Francisco Bay Area (San Francisco or Menlo Park). The Relationship Manager will be responsible for building relationships with key technology clients.
Responsibilities
- You are responsible for driving new client acquisitions and cross selling into your client base.
- Work independently and as part of a team to deliver the entire platform to our clients.
- Ability to build a brand within your market(s) where you are the go-to banker for growth and mid-market technology companies.
- Developing new and maintain meaningful relationships with key market influencers in your target markets.
- Ability to drive successful outcomes both internally and externally to close.
- Monitor and maintain portfolio financial conditions using MUFG's risk framework.
- Work closely with our credit solutions and credit administration teams to provide a variety of debt structures to our target market.
- Focused on advisory relationships where you bring both insights and tangible solutions to both pre-IPO and public technology companies.
- Passionate about building a book of business, networking, and being a connector in the technology ecosystem.
- Coach and mentor team members.
- Ensure regulatory compliance throughout you book of business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in business or equivalent work experience
- A minimum of 15+ years of related experience.
- Strong understanding of Commercial Banking products and services.
- Broad understanding of capital structures including proficiency in equity and debt capital markets.
- Deep understanding of market credit structures for pre-IPO and public technology companies.
- A track record of business development success and sales management expertise. A closer.
- A history of building and maintaining C-Suite advisory client relationships.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership both internally and externally.
- Self-directed, proactive, and intellectually curious.
- A proven networker and market influencer.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $275K to $350K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
