Description
The Director of Sales Enablement & Proposal Desk (considered pre-sales) is a player/coach responsible for a newly formed department, expanding the current Proposal Desk to include Sales Enablement. The Director works closely with all cross functional teams including Sales, Ad Operations, Marketing, Reporting & Analytics and Account Management.
What You’ll Do – Sale Enablement
- Establish and implement a strategy which enables the sales organization to drive a consistent narrative, value-driven commercial methodology and efficient sales process.
- You will partner with Sales leadership to create opportunities for territory tailoring and success.
- Build an EHS process with a goal to create a program which educates all employees across the company on our high-value messaging and value proposition so that everyone in the company is “playing from the same sheet of music”.
- Develop playbooks which will ultimately support seller effort through the simplification of knowledge transfer, access to key competitive intelligence, synthesizing requests of the sales team from cross-functional teams such as product, marketing and account management.
- Identify and recommend ways technology can support the sales process or team members
- Develop an onboarding program for sales function members
- Build out a repeatable process for feedback loops with marketing, product, technology and other departments to evolve the way we sell, service and support our customers
What You’ll Do – Proposal Desk
- Review incoming RFPs for scope, reviewing sales commentary on proposed solutions
- Pull inventory when required
- Complete proposal responses for client RFPs with all required deliverables including Power Point deck, Excel Workbooks and Supplier Value Proposition
- Maintain product list, list prices, discount thresholds and work with Finance to approve changes when recommended
- Join and participate in client calls in conjunction with the sales reps to walk through submitted proposals and provide clarification on proposed tactics where needed.
- Continuously look to improve proposal and reporting templates to streamline the proposal building process while maintaining a high level of quality and customization on each proposal submitted
- Manage, mentor and conduct regular training to promote growth and performance of the Associate, Digital Analyst.
- Minimal travel is required
- The position reports to the VP, Product
Business Qualifications:
- At least 5+ years of experience in client services, ad operations, sales or account management within the digital ad industry, preferably in digital ad sales required (digital healthcare experience is a plus).
- Experience working with digital media agencies as a vendor or agency planner/buyer roles
- Experience with proposal generation within digital media desired
- Strong understanding of media buying terminology such as: CPM, CPUV, SOV, Standard IAB banner sizes, geotargeting, native, SEM, etc.
- Experience establishing a new department or growing a fledging department
- Sales Enablement experience a must
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to turn problems into optimal solutions.
- Ability to work well with cross functional team members.
- Management experience a must
Technical Qualifications:
The position requires the use of several software tools for reporting and proposal completion. Experience with the following software systems is preferred:
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook).
- Salesforce
- Xandr
- DFP (DoubleClick for Partners) / DFA (DoubleClick for Advertisers)Experience – relevant: 3-5+ years (Preferred)
