We are looking for a Territory Sales Manager in our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Region.
The Territory Sales Manager… is responsible for increasing sales and profits at both new and existing accounts within an assigned territory by leveraging relationships and product placement.

- Develops/nurtures customer relationships, grows business in assigned territory.
- Regularly calls on customers, either alone or with a vendor representative, to demonstrate products, solicit orders and provide services.
- Prepares and presents sales proposals, including price quotes, credit terms and delivery commitments.
- Assists customers with merchandising, displays and pricing, including building displays and stocking shelves.
- Collaborates with Customer Service to submit and expedite customer orders.
- Investigates and effectively resolves customer service concerns, including delivery and pricing issues.
- Represents the Company professionally and knowledgeably at sales meetings, training seminars, events and trade shows.
- Prepares sales reports and expense forms as required.
- Manages work time and schedule to the best advantage; maintains an organized log of sales calls and the status of every account.
- Uses Company tools/programs to gain and grow business, Pre-booking, Sales Reporting, Discount & Credit Portals, ASC Website, ASC App, among others.
- Uses Excel, AS400, MITS and other data sources to access and measure performance results.

- Knowledge and practice of sound selling techniques
- Knowledge of company products, pricing and policies
- Ability to explain products, programs and services offered, answer questions, and provide customer service to accounts
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages and volume, as well as experience in applying these to price quotes and quantities of product
- Clear, concise verbal communicator, ability to communicate effectively in writing and excellent interpersonal skills with all levels of internal and external audiences
- Organized, strong attention to detail, with ability to multi-task and complete projects timely
- Successful working both independently and in a team environment
- Full proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Willingness to work with purpose and a sense of urgency while striving for excellence
Your education & experience should be similar to:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or above in relevant field of study desired
- Three years related sales experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated success in sales or merchandising
- Pet industry experience and/or animal knowledge helpful
- Wholesale distribution background a plus
- Valid unexpired driver’s license, current auto insurance required
Working conditions: Home office environment. Regular travel to customer sites, some overnight travel required as needed for customer visits, team meetings, and sales events. Will be subject to variable weather conditions while driving between office and customer locations. Driving automobile – in and out of vehicle. Standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling and crouching; ability to lift 50 lbs, close visual work on a computer terminal; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate computer keyboard, mouse and other technical instruments. Able to hear and speak into telephone.
