Full description of the position

We are looking to add a Technical Sales Engineer with an Electrical Engineering Degree to our Team! This position will work with the rest of our team in supporting our customers in the Eastern US and Midwest. We Install, troubleshoot and Repair Ignition and Control Systems on natural gas engines and other prime movers. Theoretical knowledge of reciprocating engine operation helpful. This position with help support the Service team and also the Sales team with supporting our customers in the Eastern US. Normal work schedule is M-F, shop hours 7:30am to 4:00pm, hours vary for road work. Travel required. Valid Drivers License required. Drug testing mandatory. This is a salary Position with a company Vehicle.

• Advanced knowledge of electrical components and theory, such as relays, power sources, DC/AC current and voltages, resistors, diodes, and other basic electrical components.
• Able to capture and sketch complex electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of test equipment such as power supplies, 4-20 mA signals, AC/DC multimeter (voltage, current measurement), Oscilloscope, frequency, etc.
• Preferred knowledge of communication networks and protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus, CAN, etc.
• Preferred knowledge of advanced programming and scripting languages such as C++, Lua, etc.
• Ability to collaborate and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Strong Problem solving capability
• Strong Customer Service skills and time management

Requirements

Physical- Must be able to lift and maneuver 75lbs

DOT Physical – Required to drive company vehicle

Drug Testing – Pre-employment and random

Must be able to work on Man lifts, ladders Etc.
