Now Hiring - Retail Sales Sales-Inside in Pittsburgh, PA

The Inside Sales salesperson is responsible for the inside sales of all items in the product line of the Door and Hardware division of Houston-Starr Company (HSC). The position will also assist estimating and project management with the implementation of smaller orders. Some building or construction knowledge is beneficial. This position becomes a "plus commission" after the training period.

Primary Duties:

· Maintain current knowledge of all product lines and items.

· Prepare and maintain all necessary paperwork using a customized computer software system.

· Order all parts that are non-stock necessary to complete orders sold by the counter.

· Greet customers in a friendly manner when they enter the showroom.

· Answer phone calls promptly and courteously.

· Respond to web inquiries in a timely manner.

· Wait on walk-in clientele.

· Help customers select the proper merchandise for their project.

· Pull door hardware for customer orders.

· Assist in loading merchandise for customers when needed.

· Occasionally visit customer’s job sites.

· Ensure all orders are filled accurately.

· Assist Estimating-sales/Project management as needed.

· Maintain and grow relationships with sales reps from HSC’s suppliers.

· Take part in the closing/lock-up procedures at the end of the workday.

Requirements:

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

· Ability to work with minimal supervision.

· Strong communication and technical skills

· Excellent mechanical skills

· Strong computer skills

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
