ELTA North America (ELTA NA) is a global leader in the design, manufacture and support of innovative electronic systems for the United States government. ELTA NA is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director of Business Development.

Position can be based in DC Metro Area, Huntsville, AL, or Tampa, FL
Summary
This position is responsible for business development to achieve sales targets through pursuit and capture of federal contracts in the defense sector, with primary focus on aviation, ground, and UAS sensor systems for the US DoD. The qualified candidate will have demonstrated success in positioning and capturing defense programs. This position reports directly to the President & CEO.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and lead pursuit and capture strategies
- Coordinate customer meetings, presentations, and responses to RFI/RFP/and RFQs, and other activities.
- Support and at times, lead proposal efforts that align with the strategic plan of ELTA North America
- Responsible for customer relationships - act as the ”customer voice” to communicate customer needs and market conditions to the rest of the ELTA North America team
- Assist in IRAD process
- Demonstrate the ability to work cohesively as a member of the business development team but also work independently with minimal supervision
- Identify and establish important customer relationships with senior level officials and program stakeholders within DOD and the major primes
Qualifications
- BS (MS Engineering or Business background preferred) with 10+ years of DoD Business Development, Sales and/or Program Management role.
- Demonstrated track record of bringing in contracts valued from $1M-20M+ on average, with experience in the placement of product and engineering services that align with ELTA-NA’s product roadmap
- Practical understanding of product development, technology transitioning, and marketing/product planning for US military applications
- Knowledge of conducting and directing competitive product analysis using market research techniques and a solid technical understanding of service/agency needs and requirements
- Direct experience with passive and active radars, airborne sensors, integrated C4I and CUAS systems
- Strong leadership skills, excellent communication (presentation, written, and verbal), and relationship building skills
- Experience using CRM to actively manage a portfolio of many accounts and associated opportunities
- The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of US Government acquisition process; including contracting, contract types and procurement processes
- Demonstrated application of the business development lifecycle process
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Proposal writing experience is a plus
