Full description of the position

Systems Engineer/Solutions Architect: Pre-Sales and Post-Sales Engineering

Work with customers and internal sales teams to determine requirements for IT compute, storage, and network infrastructure, including:

• Storage requirements
• Storage performance requirements
• Storage connectivity
• Data resiliency
• Data protection
• Compute server requirements
• Network infrastructure requirements

Understand characteristics of common software packages and their likely infrastructure requirements (examples: VMware, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)

After analyzing requirements, prepare configurations and bills of materials that meet the requirements, work with the internal sales team, and distributors/OEMs to develop customer facing quotations. Ensure that the quoted configurations include all necessary components for a successfully installation. Present proposed solutions and their benefits to customers.

Answer customer questions regarding hardware and software acquired through En Pointe ITS; provide presales technical assistance as required; if needs are more extensive, discuss and scope a Professional Services engagement.

Prepare periodic infrastructure reviews and OEM road maps as a value-add for current and new customers.

Deliver short Professional Services engagements based on technical skillset, approximately 20% of the time and on an as needed basis.

Work directly with the En Pointe ITS Sales team to assist with customer meetings and providing knowledge about the capabilities of the solutions that En Pointe ITS provides. Meet with new OEMs and partners to learn about their products and services and how best to position these solutions to new and existing customers.

Vendor certifications from Tier 1 OEMs desirable. Ongoing training for new and updated products and services from our OEMs and other partners is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $160,000.00 per year
