We are looking for a competent Technical Sales Representative for our Northern Georgia and Alabama, and Eastern Tennessee regions. This position would report to our facility located in Archdale, North Carolina. An ideal location for this position would be Northwest of Atlanta.

Starting salary is negotiable based on experience and knowledge of the woodworking industry and tooling. Company Fleet Vehicle, mobile devices, and other basic equipment are provided.

Duties include building customer relations within territory, boosting current customer sales, full customer engagement to meet customer satisfaction and standards, and supporting other team members throughout the sales process.

Essential Functions

  • Generate sales of stock and custom tooling to current customers.
  • Promote servicing of tools to customers.
  • Prospect potential customers to develop new business.
  • Analyze customer needs and advise customers on tooling applications.
  • Prepare quotations for new and custom tooling.
  • Obtain technical assistance for client projects.
  • Provide order and application details as requested by technical specialists.
  • Serve as company liaison with customers on all sales, accounting, shipping and other administrative matters.
  • Follow-up on sales orders to ensure delivery.
  • Promote special programs and sales promotions to customers.
  • Stay abreast of market conditions and advise company officials of new and emerging customer needs.
  • Supervise sales/service representative assigned to sales territory.
  • Serve as back-up to sales/service representative in his/her absence.
  • Maintain effective communications with customers and office personnel.
  • Daily contact with customers and potential customers. Frequent contact with sales and support personnel at headquarters.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of field sales, service, or technical support experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Computer software experience including Microsoft Office Products.
  • Knowledge of woodworking tools is a plus.
  • Valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record is mandatory, must have an understanding of geographical locations and able to use navigation devices and apps.
  • Ability to learn and develop a good understanding of company products and services in order to meet customer needs.
