Job Title: Advertising Sales Specialist
Department: Sales & Strategic Alliances and Publications
Reports to: Director of Sales and Strategic Alliances
FLSA Status: Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY

This position in the Sales & Strategic Alliances department works closely with Sales Director and Sales Managers, but also within the Publications, MarCom, Education, and Corporate Membership to ensure all sales and marketing programs deliver as promised. This position requires excellent project management skills with flawless accuracy. Scope of this position will include;
- Making Decisions and Solving Problems; analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and resolve issues.
- Collaborating and communicating internally across departments and externally with key customers to ensure satisfaction with all deliverables.
- The execution and follow-through of all sales and marketing programs for SSA as it relates to this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Track weekly, monthly, and annual customer benefits.
- Coordinate the production of monthly vendor email newsletters.
- Serve as liaison between Sales and our corporate members, advertisers and sponsors. Ensure department receives all information necessary to complete the requirements of contract with vendors.
- Serve as traffic coordinator with other internal departments to ensure all benefits awarded to vendors are implemented accurately and on time.
- Manage the process of creating and updating all sales department materials including: media kits, sponsorship packages, sales and advertising materials.
- Communicate regularly with Sales Managers. Ensure the department receives all the information and assets necessary to complete the requirements of the agreement with a vendor.
- Work closely with the Education Department to ensure flawless execution of sponsor webinars.
- Work closely with the Events Department and with a representative of our trade show management company to ensure all sponsor-related trade show issues are handled properly.
- Work closely with MarCom to create and produce customer communications and promotional programs for SSA.
- Ability to identify and review advertising metrics and analytics.
- Manage social media paid advertising and work closely with Social Media Specialist to execute PPA channels.
- Manage all online banner ads, including gathering assets from advertisers and executing ad placement.
- Manage all activities associated with implementing department programs, and perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 4-year college degree. 3+ years of business or project management experience. Marketing or advertising experience a plus.
SKILL SET: Highly organized to work independently and as a team player, with excellent follow-up skills. Strong communication skills with highly focused attention to detail. Excellent project management skills. Strong sense of professionalism with excellent communication skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines/projects. Strong spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills. Strong customer service skills. Creative problem-solving skills. Must be able to identify problems, review information, analyze options, and find/apply solutions. Proactive attitude- anticipates needs, problems, and opportunities. Must be computer literate (Microsoft Suite), as well as have the ability to learn and utilize in-house industry-specific software applications. Working knowledge of a CRM system.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds without the assistance of another person. Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
