A. W. Miller Technical Sales is a leading distributor and service provider of CNC machine tools in the NY, PA, MD, DE, Southern NJ, and Canada regions. As a company dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality products, we are actively seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Develop and Manage Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers within the assigned territory. Understand customer needs, assess requirements, and provide appropriate solutions using our CNC machine tools product line.
Technical Sales: Demonstrate expertise in CNC machine tools and their applications. Understand the technical specifications and capabilities of our product line to effectively communicate value propositions to customers.
Account Management: Effectively manage customer accounts, including order processing, inquiries, and resolving customer issues. Provide ongoing support and ensure customer satisfaction to enhance long-term partnerships.
Proposal Development: Prepare detailed and compelling proposals for customers, highlighting the benefits and advantages of our CNC machine tools. Collaborate with internal teams, such as engineering and operations, to ensure accurate and timely proposal delivery.
Negotiations: Conduct negotiations with customers to achieve favorable terms and conditions while maintaining profitability for the company. Utilize strong communication and persuasive skills to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and potential customers within the territory. Actively pursue leads, generate sales leads through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
Presentation Skills: Deliver effective presentations and product demonstrations to customers, showcasing the features and benefits of our CNC machine tools. Adapt presentation style and content to suit the needs of different audiences.
Sales Goal Achievement: Exceed sales targets by consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual sales objectives. Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and expand market share.
Requirements:
Self-Starter: A motivated and proactive individual capable of working independently to achieve sales goals and drive business growth.
Manufacturing Knowledge: In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and familiarity with machining parts. Ability to comprehend customer requirements and offer tailored solutions.
Outside Sales Experience: Proven track record in outside sales, preferably in the technical manufacturing industry. Demonstrated success in developing customer relationships and achieving sales targets.
CNC Machine Tools Expertise: Strong knowledge of CNC machine tools, their functionalities, and applications. Familiarity with the features and benefits of our represented brands is highly desirable.
Customer Focus: Customer-centric approach with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to build rapport, understand customer needs, and provide effective solutions.
Results-Oriented: Driven by achieving and exceeding sales goals. Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies and effectively manage the sales cycle.
Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel within the assigned territory to meet with customers, attend industry events, and visit our corporate office as needed.
