Job Title: Territory Account Manager – Midwest of US

Report To:VP of Sales and Marketing

Role Summary:

Territory Sales Manager is responsible for managing existing and developing new customers by soliciting and selling products as solutions to customers as assigned territories to achieve sales and profitability goals. Working towards building and strengthening business relationship to maximize market opportunities of existing customers.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned territory to generate new business.
  • Identify and locate new business opportunities via various channels not excluding to business visiting, networking, cold calling etc.
  • Successfully negotiate prices, terms of sales, and / or services agreement; prepares contracts and submits orders.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain close communication and good relationship with existing and previous customers, inform them of new products, services and enhancement that may be of an interest.
  • Answer customers questions regarding products, prices, availabilities, transportation time
  • Research customer business needs and develops a mix of products and services to meet needs.
  • Review daily and manage deliveries routing schedule, troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process (for example, out of stock items, shortage, transportation, special order items, and low inventory etc.), and implement solutions quickly.
  • Review, analyze and react to daily / weekly sales reports to look for improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with VP of Sales and Marketing to develop territories, sales goals, and strategies to ensure business growth and goals attainment.
  • Stay informed and evaluate market and product trends, competitor prices, sales, and strategies of assigned territory, make product recommendations to customers based on business needs and goals.
  • Use personal vehicles to customers business locations, meetings or industry related conventions and shows.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain department to help identify and address all products, quality, delivery etc. issues.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing and / or Supply Chain major is preferred, 5 years related industry or working experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in distribution sales experience or wholesaler experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suites.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer services skills.
  • Demonstrate good problem solving ability and negotiation skills.
  • Must be self – motivated, and accountable for time management with minimum supervision.
  • Valid and unexpired driver’s license with good driving record.
  • Able to travel up to 75% of time, locally and out of states with occasion overnight travel.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin / Chinese is required.
