Grow your career as a Business Development Manager within Inclusive Collection, one of our 14 industry-leading brands. In this role you will be responsible for HIC’s sales and business growth with travel agencies/agents within a given geographical region. Principal duties include identifying, developing and maintaining travel agency/agent relationships, the implementation of tactical and strategic plans with agencies, product training, and escorting travel agent FAMS, participation in travel trade conferences, and events, representing and promoting the Inclusive Collection.
A successful Business Development Manager will:
- Develop and maintain excellent commercial communication with travel agency accounts identifying and responding to growth opportunities.
- Identify new accounts and onboard those accounts with the Inclusive Collection through a variety of processes including sales calls, training, Rewards and FAMS.
- Attend in the BDM’s region, nationally and overseas as required sales conferences and travel industry events promoting the Inclusive Collection and seeking new contacts/opportunities.
- Undertake Inclusive Collection product training and AMRagents.com resource training with travel agents through sales calls, webinars, events, sales blitzes etc.
- Maintain a local budget and optimize its use for local sales opportunities and events.
- Full use of SalesForce the Inclusive Collection's sales CRM is logging sales calls, entering competitive information, opportunities etc. as a part of standardized procedure.
- Full and open communication with the Regional Sales Manager with weekly 1-on-1 meetings and monthly planning and review meetings.
A successful Business Development Manager will have:
- Bilingual English/Spanish is not required, but is a plus!
- Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years equivalent work experience in a sales/marketing capacity
- 2-3 years in field sales and business development within the travel industry
- Driving license & current Passport
- Microsoft office suite skills; outlook, word, excel and power point
- Strong communication and presentation abilities, approachability, curiosity and organizational skills
- Domestic and overseas travel is an important part of the role and could occupy up to 60% per month.
