Alliance Shippers Inc., is one of North America’s largest privately owned providers of global logistics and transportation services. We are currently seeking an Account Representative to join our team.
Position Summary:
This position is the front line for customer service. These team members will work closely with the Sales person to build rapport with the customer and help to maximize the potential of the account. Account Reps oversee the load through the life cycle. This includes helping in the acceptance process, overseeing coverage of the load, involving the Capacity Group when needed, managing the five customer service checks and updating the customer on the shipment's status. Additionally, the Account Rep works to find solutions for the customer when events arise.
Accountabilities:
- Owns the operations relationship with the customer. Problem solving for the customer and Alliance Shippers.
- Load tracking and tracing. Making sure the "5 checks" are complete and EDI 214 shipment status is current and transmitted.
- Ensure the monies for the loads are correct by confirming proper billable and receivables numbers in MegaTrans. Help protect the Perfect Shipment with the correct information to present the customer with a good invoice.
- Appointment scheduling, load entry, accessorial input, and load tracking.
- Move loads through MegaTrans, cradle to grave.
- Daily reports to customers, including managing the customer website as needed.

Experience:
3 years or more of 3PL/Account Rep experience preferred
Education:
High school degree required; BA or Associate degree preferred
Required Skill Set:
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to establish immediate relationship rapport
- Tolerance to ambiguity and the ability to overcome barriers
- Able to work within a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple responsibilities
- Honest, strong work ethic, resourceful and possess effective negotiation skills
- Proficient in basic computer skills
