•Report directly to General Manager and Management Company.

•Create and implement sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase volume and Food & Beverage sales.

•Review monthly reports and sales forecast to analyze current/potential market and sales trends, coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share and monitor performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plan.

•Direct day-to-day sales activities, to plan daily and weekly sales meetings.

•Plan and execute sales trips, sales calls, site visits and client entertainment.

•Ensure the General Manager is involved in the development of the relationships with key clients and outside contacts. Be sure to maintain a great relationship and reach out to local establishments often. Have high visibility and involvement in the local community (e.g. Chamber of Commerce, Local Charities and Trade Associations.)

•To proactively position and market the property by participating in the various sales channels (e.g. Area Sales, Group Sales and utilize electronic lead channels.)

•Manages the property reactive and proactive sales efforts.

•Reviews the Strategic Alignment Review (STR) report, competitive shopping reports and uses other resources to maintain an awareness of the hotels market position.

•Researches competitor’s sales team strategies to identify ways to grow occupancy and RevPAR and increase market share.

•Develop, execute and update action plans against existing and new target accounts to achieve and exceed quotas. Prospect new accounts for acquisition through a variety of channels.

•Negotiate assigned accounts in RFP season.

•The Director of Sales is overall responsible for total revenue and yield strategies, implementation and results including group and transient rooms, group food and beverage and other revenues.

•The Director of Sales must possess strong sales and negotiation skills, proven prospecting and new business development abilities and closing skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
