Full description of the position

Our Richmond, VA Office is hiring for an Account Manager. We seek a driven Personal Lines Insurance professional to work our multi-Industrial book of business. As experts in protecting what matters most to individuals, we’re looking to bring on our next Account Manager to support our Personal Lines department and deliver exceptional risk management solutions to our growing client base.

Our Account Manager will partner with our sales team to facilitate the day-to-day management of current clients' insurance programs, helping the world prepare for the unexpected.

Responsibilities:

  • Client Support
  • Maintain accurate client information to provide day-to-day client support and address intermediate-level client inquiries while delivering exceptional customer care.
  • Assist in the development of strong business relationships with appropriate insurance carrier personnel. Recognize and satisfy carrier goals and objectives to enhance business relationships.
  • Account Management
  • Maintain files with proper records according to company procedures. Follow company procedures to achieve positive audit results.
  • Ensure accuracy of account information for new and renewal policies in accordance with client requests, processed change requests and endorsement checking, addressed proper exposures for policy rating, completed coverage reviews and gap analysis, and accurately transacted agency bill policies.
  • Review all accounts receivable and policy cancellation notices according to Agency procedures recognizing that the Agency must process them in a timely manner.
  • Monitor renewal premium increases for remarketing based on the agency’s retention strategies.
  • Secure documentation needed to be retained by the agency, including signed applications, replacement cost estimates, rejection of coverage, and confirmation of orders.
  • Insurance Expertise
  • Leverage technical knowledge to ensure carrier quotes are received in a timely fashion; Review quotes for gaps and assist with carrier inquiries.
  • Attend training and seek self-directed learning to continue industry and technical knowledge education.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Three years of related Personal Lines experience preferred
  • Property and Casualty License required
  • Working knowledge of available personal lines coverages based on business and industry
  • Proficient in providing client service through electronic, telephone, and in-person interaction
  • Problem-solving skills; strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of Agency Management software or demonstrated skill at quickly learning new
  • systems
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office or similar software, including spreadsheet and presentation
  • software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
