Sales Manager (for Connectors BU) - On Site in San Jose, CA
General Description of the Position's function and purposeGrowth sales revenue within the Connector business unit.
Develop new customers and new projects in specified region or account.
Support customers as a company representative
Specific Duties and ResponsibilitiesMeet established sales billings and bookings budget.
Collect forecast information from customers and manage sales forecast.
Responsible for penetrating target accounts, finding new projects and managing the design in process.
Responsible to support production order and negotiate delivery schedules with customers.
Responsible to support claims from customers.
Generate quotations and negotiate pricing with customers.
Generate strategy to grow sales in assigned sales territories.
Make key topics and activities report to management weekly.
Represent company at trade show / association meeting.
Knowledge and Skills Required by the JobIndustry experience and familiarity with the electronic component and CEM transfer process. (Preferred connector business experience and product knowledge)
Relationship building, teamwork and clear communication skills are imperative.
Judgment and critical thinking to analyze complex business situations.
Establishing and keep good relationship with customers under critical situation
ResponsibilitySupervisory Controls - under general supervision
Written guidelines exist for some cases
DifficultyComplexity - May be highly complex, according to customer needs
Scope & Effect - Far-reaching effect, since this is a high-profile position, responsible for pleasing our customers and keeping YEU Sales at a good level.
EnvironmentPhysical Requirements - Mostly outside the office activity with some travel
Work Environment - Office environment some of the time but mostly outside the office traveling and visiting customers.
Qualifications
Education - College Degree - advanced technical degree
Experience - At least 3-5 years of electronic industry sales experience. Broad sales experience in the Electronics Industry characterized by a sustained record of Sales achievement
Other - Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
Additional Desirable Qualifications
- Good interpersonal skills to better communicate/interface with Yamaichi
- Travel as assigned by Upper Management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
