Holman is currently accepting resumes for the position of IT Field Support.
Responsibilities:
- Provides IT support for 6 automotive dealers
- Actively work in Help Desk Support email and ticket queues
- Diagnose and report technical issues with customer hardware including PC, Laptop, Virtual Machines, and Mobile Devices
- Diagnose and report technical issues with company supported software.
- Document all calls, research and related technical items within an IT ticket
- Collaborates with larger IT department to resolve problems
- Works with employees at all levels to help with their IT needs
- Escalate major issues or outages to management
- Deploys new application software and performs application upgrades following established procedures.
- Interfaces with vendors, developers, and infrastructure teams to ensure timely problem resolution
- Maintain system documentation and operational procedures
- Monitors and manages application availability, capacity and performance based on established performance metrics
- Works with out of box application workflow tools to develop business flows
- Participates in Help Desk tickets and priority discussions with team
- Follow-up on tickets, keeping correspondence in ticket entries informative and timely
- Assist in adding and updating information in the team knowledge base
- Work with Application Owner to troubleshoot technical issues when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with business to understand and interpret PC Support requests
- Monitor and meet SLA’s by the established due dates
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned
- Understands the key business drivers; uses this knowledge in own work. Expands fundamental knowledge in own function and broadens skills
- Applies expertise to improve efficiency and accomplish objectives within own area of responsibility
- Solves a range of problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions and assesses each using standard procedures
- Interprets customer needs and assesses requirements
- Responds to non-standard requests from customers; investigates with assistance from others as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Experience Required:
- 5+ years of hands-on end user computer support
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- Familiarity with Cherwell service desk platform
- PXE boot imaging PCs
- Experience in a retail automotive environment
- Additional education, certifications, or other distinctions are a plus
- Excellent organization, critical thinking, problem solving and project management skills
- Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to function well in a high-paced work environment
- Ability to work independently with a minimum of daily supervision
- Excellent system diagnostic and communication skills
