Summary: The Sales Manager is tasked with growing positive year over year sales and gross profit growth for the Sullivan Family Kitchen by working with internal SFOC directors and external sales customers to build strong relationships and successful programs. The ideal candidate will create, direct and oversee sales objectives and initiatives, set short- and long-term sales strategies and evaluate effectiveness of current sales programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Create detailed weekly/quarterly/annual sales budgets and goals.

• Determine and develop business plans that will be used to attain goals.

• Maximize company sales potential by crafting strategic sales plans and presenting them to the senior management team for approval and then deployment.

• Identify sales gaps in current product line up. Create and execute plans for closing those gaps.

• Develop new sales opportunities through networking and turn them into long term partnerships.

• Foster positive relationships with customers and maintain ongoing communications.

• Conduct annual/quarterly sales reviews.

• Manage the entire sales cycle from finding a client, securing a sales relationship, maintaining and growing the client's account.

• Work with Internal Category Directors, Supervisors, Store Directors/Managers, and external customers to achieve mutually beneficial goals.

• Work with SFK Chefs on product development, addressing product quality concerns, and executing of new programs.

• Research and conduct market reviews to determine new products, food trends, categories, pricing.

• Conduct on site visits at customer locations to evaluate inventory levels, proper merchandising, and quality checks. Manage weekly orders for select accounts to maximize sales and minimize shrink/out of stocks.

• Negotiate agreements and keep records of sales and data.

• Handle customer communication regarding quality, invoice, and order issues.

• Respond to complaints and resolve issues aiming to customer contentment and the preservation of the companys reputation.

• Oversee customer service team in handling customer ordering, item management system, and generating reports.

• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• Work with Creative/Marketing teams to develop sales plans and assist with photo shoots, development of marketing materials, and executing of marketing plans.

• Prepare reporting as needed.

• Other duties as assigned.

Education, Training, Skills and Experience Requirements:

• Minimum five years sales or related experience preferably in the food industry.

• Prior supervisory/management experience working in sales or operations

• Able to analyze spreadsheets and prepare reports or projects without oversight or supervision.

• Ability to deal with internal and external customers and work in fast paced environment with frequent interruptions

• Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication (English verbal and written) skills.

• Computer literate with existing or comparable purchasing system and Microsoft Office.

• Reliable Transportation.

• Proficiency in Math.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors degree preferred.

• Able to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
