Founded in 2016, Infinite Chemical Analysis Labs mission is to provide the cannabis industry with accurate and timely analytical services of exceptional quality while exceeding clients expectations. The lab offers a wide range of analytical services for quality assurance and state compliance to uphold brands to the highest standards for premium products. ICAL prides itself on setting the standard for quality cannabis testing across California and Michigan. Additionally, ICAL is currently expanding its analytical services to the fields of environmental, water, food, beverage, nutraceutical, and agriculture testing. We are currently seeking an Account Manager to join our team in San Diego, CA! The Account Manager is an integral part of our sales team where our relationships with our clients begins. This position oversees and cultivates the company's relationships with our clients; They are tasked with building long-term partnerships with a group of customers and generally stay with the same customers for the length of their relationship with the company. Tasks and projects may involve project management, strategic planning, sales support, product design, service application, logistics, and entry level accounting and invoicing. There are no sales quotas or cold calling duties assigned to this position.
This employee will be scheduled to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. This position is great fit for an extroverted candidate looking to join a growing company while building upon their client service skills within the cannabis and/or laboratory testing industry!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide exceptional customer service to our clients and customers through inbound and outbound calls and email communication.
- Serves as intermediary between laboratory departments and administrative staff to handle client requests and discrepancies.
- Respond to inquiries about services, pricing, and assist existing and potential accounts.
- Follow ups to obtain payment on unpaid invoices.
- Audits invoices against purchase orders, researches discrepancies, and approves for payment.
- Investigates problems that vendors or purchasing agents have with obtaining payment for bills.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
- Complete and maintain paperwork for compliance collection when necessary.
- Verify forms submitted by clients to ensure there are no errors.
- Assist in scheduling compliance collections.
- Assisting with intake, front desk, or other office responsibilities when necessary.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Strong communication skills.
- Working knowledge of cannabis products and market trends.
- Ideal candidate will be people-oriented and able to form relationships quickly.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.), G Suite (primarily Google Sheets & Google Docs) and QuickBooks.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work in a collaborative environment.
- Disciplined conflict-resolution skills; solution oriented.
- Working knowledge of or willingness to learn about: chemistry concepts, microbiological processes, and/or botanical/horticultural practices.
- Personal integrity, disciplined work ethic, organization skills, and motivation to work with a sense of urgency.
- Must be comfortable working around cannabis and hemp products.
- At least 1-2 years of prior experience in a customer service or client facing role.
- Must possess at least an Associates' Degree in any field (Business, Marketing, Communications preferred) OR equivalent work experience in a similar role.
- Must be at least 21 years old to comply with Department of Cannabis Control regulations.
- Must not concurrently work in any other part of the cannabis industry.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of time.
