JOB TITLE: Client Service Rep/Insurance Agent
REPORTS TO: Operations Supervisor or Director
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
DIVISION: Horton Personal Insurance
GENERAL DESCRIPTION Summary
A CSR owns the client experience once clients are onboarded with HPI. They are the face of Horton for our clients.
They are responsible for service-related tasks such as: providing coverage guidance and recommendations, making policy changes, managing the claims process, handling payments and billing questions, and explaining rate changes. They are also responsible for the remarketing process and client retention, including proposal preparation and presentation. A Client Advisor may also be called on to assist with sales support and new business functions as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive phone calls and office visitors requesting policy review, changes to existing coverage, and/or new policies.
Inform, educate, and make recommendations and/or changes in a timely manner.
Knowledge of rating and underwriting procedures for all carriers including rating software and carrier websites.
Utilize download reports for proactive client contact.
Determine acceptability and prepare client proposals and carrier submissions following guidelines.
Handle all client interactions with high level of customer service to ensure excellent customer satisfaction at every service contact while maintaining timeliness & procedure compliance.
Maintain a high level of data integrity in the agency management system so that all fields, documents, and data are accurate, up to date, and flow properly to reports and other output documents.
Follow all internal procedures and comply with management requests.
Provide backup support for sales, service, or remarketing teammates when needed.
Perform other duties as requested, including exercising discretion and judgment prioritizing workload.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
A Bachelors degree or at least 5 years of relevant experience is required
Property and Casualty License must be held or obtained within 75 days of start date
Intermediate competency with Microsoft Office suite and Applied Epic is strongly preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Applicable industry designations preferred
The employee is responsible for adherence to the stated expectations of the E&O Plus Quality Management Program
