POSITION PURPOSE
Effectively lead all personnel across multiple branches and may include the functional responsibility of a Branch Manager for a specific branch. Regional Sales and Service Manager (RSSM) has three main areas of responsibility sales and member relationship growth, employee development, and assurance of a high-quality member experience in support of OECU. Lead, motivate, and develop a team to successfully attain monthly and annual goals which include sales functions, business development activities, and community integration efforts while ensuring adherence to all internal and external service standards. The RSSM actively leads Branch Managers and is accountable for their regions production, operational efficiency, and exceptional delivery of credit union services while supporting a collaborative work environment where employees are engaged and well-developed.
Demonstrate understanding of OECUs Mission, Vision and Core Values, along with expertise in OECUs products and services, including all available tools and resources to effectively lead the assigned branches.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Under the direction of the SVP, establishes and communicates individual branch goals necessary to meet organizational objectives. Monitors progress to ensure goal attainment and assists in the development of plans and tactics to address shortfalls.
- Heavy travel is required in this position. RSSMs must be a visible and instrumental guiding force within assigned locations.
- Demonstrates engagement, enthusiasm, and passion for leading their assigned branches. Provide guidance and support for each team member through utilizing OECUs Employee Performance Program, including but not limited to monthly one-on-one coaching.
- Lead regional sales efforts and manage all direct reports through appropriate Credit Union management practices including: conducting skills and results coaching, skill building activities, team meetings, and other development activities as agreed upon with their leader.
- Demonstrate understanding and support of all OECU initiatives for employee development and team engagement through collaboration with Human Resources and OECUs training and development efforts.
- Consistently work with the team to develop an appropriate succession plan.
- Effectively communicate with department leaders and peers to develop a network of support and collaboration.
- Facilitate communication of all necessary information with the team on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, including but not limited to daily huddles, and monthly branch and team meetings.
- Ensure member service standards are met through effective coaching and development. Handle all concerns and complaints in a professional and supportive manner, escalating situations with a recommended solution. Collaborate with departments to enhance member service standards, and ensure proper follow through.
- Responsible for regional achievement of established production and growth goals including deposits, various loan categories, and member growth.
- Participate in community involvement to develop relationships with community leaders within your regions geographical location, and across OECUs field of membership, to increase brand awareness.
- Participate in organizational team projects, representing the Retail team in a professional and competent manner.
- Utilize all available tools and resources to analyze branch trends, recognize new ways to capture and grow business, and recommend possible solutions. This includes partnering with lines of business such as Marketing to ensure consistent review of current data and the planning of future efforts for growth.
- Assess branch trends in areas such as transactional, goal attainment and industry standards in order to make effective recommendations for annual headcount. Recruit as needed.
- Assume complete responsibility for all areas of branch management, including all day-to-day operations. Demonstrate proficiency in operational tasks and sales processes to ensure a consistent member experience. Demonstrate an ability to support and function in all branch positions as needed.
- Proactively plan activities to aid in the attainment of monthly goals. Examples include, but are not limited to, in-branch call nights, collaboration with local businesses and schools on membership drives, and dissemination of promotional information.
- Proactively look for operational enhancements and research options to present for process improvements to Senior Management. When applicable, partner with departments to brainstorm, design and implement approved enhancements.
- Maintain a safe and sound work environment adhering to all audit and security expectations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
PERFORMANCE MEASURMENTS
Performance is measured against the competencies and goals as outlined in the Employee Performance Program, and established in partnership with Senior Management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education, Certifications, Knowledge & Experience
Minimum two years experience as a highly performing Branch Manager or Multi-Unit Manager. Multi-unit management experience preferred but not required.
This position requires that the employee gain a working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements and how they will affect their work. The employee will comply with all requirements of the BSA and cooperate with the designated BSA Officer in assuring compliance.
Extensive financial industry experience, including but not limited to cash handling, customer service, needs based selling, goal attainment, employee management and development, project and team participation, and community development.

- Ability to project a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times. Advanced analytical/technical knowledge pertaining to decision analysis and financial/budget administration.
- Bilingual a plus.
