CPPs staff is comprised of leading Wind Engineering Consultants, and our clients include many of the worlds top architects and engineers. We operate two boundary-layer wind tunnels in our laboratory in Windsor, Colorado, located along the front range of the Rocky Mountains, one boundary-layer wind tunnel in Sydney, Australia, one boundary-layer wind tunnel in Malaysia and operate an engineering office in Toronto, Canada area.
We are currently looking for a Solar Business Development Engineer to join our solar business segment, with a strong focus on business development. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with our world-leading specialists, and top engineers and developers in the US and across the globe. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities for our site-specific studies, as well as developing and maintaining relationships with current clients. The role requires a combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.
Primary Duties
Develops and maintains relationships with current clients and target stakeholders.
Identifies potential clients and projects through market research and networking.
Leads the development of proposals and presentations in collaboration with the BD team for current and new clients.
Collaborates with Solar Engineering and BD team to ensure proposed solutions meet client needs.
Tracks and reports on business development activities and results in collaboration with the BD team.
Presents results and recommendations to the client and consults with the customer to determine suitable solutions.
Follows up and reports on execution of previous site-specific projects and related client feedback.
Contributes to continual process developments.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters, or 1-3 years engineering experience in Wind Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Strong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate complex engineering concepts.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel as needed (expected travel time up to 40%).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,000.00 - $76,000.00 per year
