Full description of the position

The duties of this position include all sales functions related to existing accounts, as assigned and related to BAS, Security, CCTV, lighting control and other product lines. Sales functions include site surveys, writing scope of work and proposals, estimating, assemble sales presentation documents, develop and arrange client meetings and/or presentations, present proposals. Develop as directed new customer prospects in the vertical market segments designated by Sales Engineering Manager sales goals.

Preferred background is an individual who has performed account management in the building automation system industry for the past 1-5 years or is a construction industry mechanical engineer who would enjoy the challenge of a sales career for a rapidly growing business. The individual will proactively work with owner, MEP engineer, and contract chain in the development of project scope, including specifications, engineering documents, coordination with equipment vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• High school diploma plus B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Automation Technology Engineering or 10 years field experience installing electrical or mechanical systems or as Field Technician
• Minimum 5 years experience performing project management, sales engineering, or engineering tasks related to BAS/Security/Lighting
• Excellent verbal communication skills and superior phone etiquette
• Outstanding customer interface and human relations skills
• Fluent in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, CRM software, Acrobat
• Demonstrated knowledge and fluency with a minimum of one BAS, Access Control, Video Surveillance, or lighting system hardware and software
• Ability to effectively multi-task, and adapt to rapidly changing schedules and priorities and work under pressure
• Excellent organizational skills with good attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Fluent ability to work with laptops, tablets, smartphones
• Ability to work in a team environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
