Overview:

As a Data Analyst - Sales & Cost, you will be responsible for working collaboratively with our VP of Sales & Product development and our Leadership team to assist with the preparation and analysis of sales and cost related data. You will analyze data, identifying trends, and providing insights to support business decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Duties:

• Evaluate historical and current financial data to understand the companys inventory costing and pricing data.
• Interact and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, i.e., sales team, suppliers, etc.
• Coordinate with logistics team to obtain unique freight/trucking rates, etc.
• Determine and establish standard costs, maintain supplier quote sheets, create customer specific cost sheets.
• Assist in developing market cost and pricing sheets for use by sales team, etc.
• Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses.
• Follow industry-specific business trends.
• Develop various financial models.
• Maintain Excel databases by entering, verifying, and backing up data.
• Analyze past and current financial performance data.
• Prepare reports and projections based on analyses.
• Improve financial metrics by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending improvements to management.
• Increase productivity by developing automated Excel applications and coordinating information requirements.
• Protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.

Skills:

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Must have advanced ability in Excel; experience with MAPICS and/or Infor, or other integrated accounting systems, a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in business management, accounting, or finance a plus.
• Minimum 2-3 years of financial analysis and sales and product pricing skills preferred.
• Prior experience with sales and pricing analytics and reporting preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
