Full description of the position

Great Western Trailer (GWT) is seeking people like you to join our Parts Team as an Outside Sales Agent which will be instrumental in growing our parts sales initiative. Our company is a leader in serving the semi-trailer industry and we are looking to expand our parts sales across the company. This role will be an integral part of building out our outside parts sales' platform and critical to our growth. We have operations in Fontana, CA; Albuquerque, NM; Phoenix, AZ; Grants Pass, OR, Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Dearborn, MI; Salt Lake City, UT; Oklahoma City, OK; and Tulsa, OK.

Job Overview:

  • GWT is in the process of building our outside sales program, and we are looking for experienced sales professionals to help us do that. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success, local market knowledge, tremendous follow-up, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Be resourceful in identifying potential customers via phone, networking and/or social media to assist them with Service and Parts needs to meet company targets.
  • Be responsible for identifying new strategies and products to grow your book of business.
  • Demonstrate good judgment and superior communication skills in working with customers to set achievable expectations and profitable deals.
  • Routinely review existing customers for growth opportunities.
  • Proactively manage work activities in the companys Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool. Adapt to available technical tools communicating improvements and support new processes for customer and deal updates.
  • Represent the company and its values at all times- acknowledging that all behavior reflects on the company and models adherence to all company procedures and policies.
  • Support the departments decision-making process for non-standard deals by being prepared with analysis, data, and documented proposal points.
  • Coordinate directly with the Sales Manager on non-standard quotes offered to customers and obtain appropriate approval.
  • Work closely with the Service and Parts team to ensure we properly serve our customers and reasonably set expectations including timing and pricing.
  • Creativity is crucial to build customized programs based on customer needs and business type.
  • Deliver parts as needed.
  • Work with fellow Outside Service and Parts Sales team to execute and provide feedback on a sales strategy that fosters goal achievement and scalable success.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Heavy Duty Trailers/Equipment (HUGE PLUS)
  • Must be a self-starter that enjoys building an established territory.
  • Must be a team player.
  • The ability to work with a variety of departments and customers.
  • Experience with CRM software ZOHO is a plus.
  • Tech savvy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
  • Valid driver's license Company vehicle provided.
