Position Overview: We are looking for a motivated individual with a strong technical background in HVAC systems and a proven track record in sales. The Commercial HVAC Sales Engineer will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and providing technical expertise to support the sales process. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, sales acumen, and excellent communication skills to effectively promote our HVAC solutions and drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement sales strategies to target and acquire new commercial clients in the local HVAC market.
2. Conduct thorough market research to identify potential customers, industry trends, and competitive offerings.
3. Collaborate with customer and contractors to assess their requirements and develop customized HVAC solutions that meet their needs.
4. Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to prospects and clients.
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within target accounts.
6. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sale to ensure favorable outcomes for both the company and the client.
7. Provide technical support and expertise to clients throughout the sales cycle, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and offering solutions.
8. Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to commercial HVAC systems.
9. Achieve sales targets and objectives by effectively managing the sales pipeline, forecasting sales revenue, and tracking performance metrics.
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, install, and customer service to deliver seamless solutions and exceed customer expectations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred, but not required.
Proven experience in commercial HVAC sales, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Technical knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and components.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively present technical information to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to prospect, negotiate, and close sales deals.
Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
