Job Summary: The Junior Account Manager role is critical as they represent the client's trust. This entry-level position serves as a mentorship opportunity and aims to help AMs and Senior AMs with various tasks like contract administration, site visits, measuring documentation, and account management. The candidate will work closely with AMs and Senior AMs to learn about our processes and practices and build their portfolio while gaining expertise. The role includes sales, estimating, budgeting, invoicing, and quality control through the management of horticultural practices and site personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Develop and capture new business.
- Identify potential clients, build relationships, and generate referrals to establish a strong customer base.
- Regular property walk-throughs are performed to identify areas of improvement and clients are actively educated on best management practices.
- Prepare and deliver cost estimates and proposals to potential or current clients.
Maximize sales and maintain site appearance for customer satisfaction by identifying up-sale opportunities.
Adhere to Christy Webber Landscapes customer service standards to ensure excellent customer service and maximize overall client satisfaction.
- Serve as the liaison between clients, field teams, and managers.
- Conduct regular walk-throughs with clients to ensure their satisfaction and audit the quality of services provided.
- Always present a professional attitude and appearance.
Work within designated deadlines and budgets and manage jobs, personnel, and supplies to maximize the company's financial health.
- Assist the field supervisor in scheduling, overseeing, and planning field operations to meet client expectations while following company policies and safety regulations and adhering to contract specifications.
- Monitor job profitability by customer and site.
- Monitor the quality of maintenance sites and communicate issues to the appropriate field supervisor and customer when necessary.
Throughout the season, monitor the hours used and budgeted for each site and communicate with the appropriate field supervisor as needed.
Education and/or Work Experience:
A degree in horticulture, landscape construction, or related from an accredited college or university is encouraged but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of horticulture and proficiency with landscape operations is a prerequisite for this job. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment are mandatory. Must collaborate with the field staff assigned to them to meet or exceed the company and client's expectations. Capable of overseeing and performing tasks related to job monitoring, invoicing, scheduling, and job tracking for their entire assigned portfolio. Possess a valid IL Driver's License and be insured by the company's insurance carriers.

Pay: Up to $50,000.00 per year
