Beverly Athletic Club has been chosen the area's best health club for over 20 years because of its great staff, programs and facilities! With two locations in Beverly we are one of the most successful health clubs on the North Shore and are seeking to hire a Membership Sales and Marketing Director who is passionate about fitness and bringing our club to higher success.
Membership Sales Director Job Responsibilities
The Sales and Marketing Directors responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the management of:
- Scheduling and training of sales team
- Hiring and termination of sales staff
- Creating and enhancing sales tools
- Prospecting new clients and scheduling appointments
- Discussing wellness needs with clients and helping them set and achieve goals
- Touring the club with prospects showing benefits of membership and closing sales
- Delivery of sales events and promotions, such as open houses, referral programs or holiday sales
- Business development and client servicing of corporate relationships
- Working to improve member retention and increase participation in club offerings
- Customer service experience and general public perception of sales department and club services
- Company public relations, social media outlets and marketing related e-mail blasts
- Attending events and expos on behalf of the company in an effort to drive membership sales
PHYSICAL DEMANDS WORKING CONDITIONS: Applicant must be able to commute from facility to facility if necessary, carry marketing items of up to 30 pounds, have the flexibility to work nights and weekends (depending on company needs).
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

- Proficient with Computer Software and Microsoft Office
- Two (2) years prior sales management experience preferred
- Experience in Marketing through social media preferred
- General knowledge of health, wellness, fitness, and sports preferred
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Base Salary plus commission, bonuses with expected earnings of $60K plus.
Benefits include IRA, Health Insurance, 2 weeks vacation, club membership and discounts on services
